I Mean Business - New Quiltish Business Cards
Sunday, November 16, 2008
It feels so good to finally get it right. My husband & I have gone through rounds of business cards, experimenting with design, layout, company, style, paper, etc....only to half-way love each batch. However, our recent business card order from gotprint.com turned out to be just what I had in mind...in fact I love them so much I am using them as the hang tags on all my products. The print & paper quality is great, the website was a snap to use, and I heart the rounded edges. The only bummer part was that all 1,000 cards came in this long skinny box & as soon as I opened it all the cards just sort of slipped out.... But here they are in all their glory!
Hello Goodbye - Fabric Destash
Wednesday, November 12, 2008
{{UPDATE}} I now sell my new destash fabric & right-off-the-bolt designer fabric at www.quiltishdestash.etsy.com check it out!
So, after awhile I start to fall out of love with things. My Aveda shampoo, my new jeans, and yes, some of my fabric. Though fabric is probably my one obsession, my one bad habit...besides lattes, sometimes it's time to part ways. I have been collecting fabric for years & have them neatly folded in piles- "can't wait to make something with this," pile "I love it so much I can't even bear to bring scissors close by" stack, and the "well, I'll hang onto it because someday, I just may need it for some gift, for some project, for someone" bundles. It's time to let go, they are just weighing me down! I'm sure someone else will fall in love & give them a new home. Here's a few of my bundles:

New Favorite - Quiltish Pleated Shoulder Bag
Thursday, November 06, 2008
Well, what can I say- I play favorites. And this pleated bag is definitely the top of my list. This bag was my 'trial'- the first run on the pattern I designed, but lo & behold it turned out perfectly the very first time, no glitches, re-dos, regrets, or changes. How can you not love a bag that plays nice & cooperates so well? I love the decorator weight fabric- and the winter white/khaki reminds me of a classy winter outfit, but it's versatile enough to tote all year round. This just might be the bag I keep for myself.
Turn the Page - Etsy Front Page
Tuesday, November 04, 2008

Yay, I finally made the Etsy front page! This is something I wanted for a long time, mostly because I have been working on my photographs & trying really hard to improve them. For me, this confirms that I'm at least on the right track as far as figuring out the camera bit :) Thanks to MagnolyDesigns for featuring me in this lovely Treasury to begin with.
She's Easy To Hold - New Quiltish Pouches
Saturday, November 01, 2008
....So I'm not the most organized gal, but these little pouches have inspired me to get that way! I've been thinking of a million & one ways to use these beauties. And now that the holidays are coming I'm thinking they're a great way to give a gift- fill 'em up with gift cards, make-up, treats, soaps, bracelets. (I' m going to leak all my Christmas gifts already....Oh yeah, Jen- your birthday gift started it all!)
